DePaul Campus Couples Session | Taylor + Steven

Alright, this session is pretty darn close to my heart. Taylor and I actually met a couple of years ago through her mom who has since passed. We like to think that she brought us together, it’s been such a special experience growing our friendship these past couple of years. For their couples session, we went back to one of their favorite spots in the city, DePaul Campus, and let me just say, it did not disappoint. The fall colors make for an absolutely gorgeous backdrop for any session.

Taylor and Steven’s DePaul Campus Session

Taylor and Steven get photos done almost every year whether it be for an anniversary or just because and I am obsessed. Over the years they’ve filled their home with photos from all different parts of their life and it is seriously such a cool way to celebrate the different milestones of life.

If you plan to make photo sessions a yearly or bi-yearly tradition for you and your family get creative with your sessions each year depending on what phase of life you’re in. Move into a new home earlier that year? If so an in-home session would be a great way to commemorate that, feeling nostalgic or moving onto a different phase of life? Head to one of your favorite places from your past life together for some photos to remember the times.

We met at the center of the DePaul Chicago Campus and spent some time playing fetch with their cute pup Marley to start off their couples session. Taylor is probably one of the most stylish people I know so of course their outfits and picnic setup were absolutely perfect. After walking around campus we found this parking lot about a block away from campus where the sunlight was peeking through the buildings nearby so we HAD to stop and take some photos.

It is such an amazing experience to be able to preserve some of these memories for the people that I’m closest to.
