Intimate Chicago Rooftop Wedding | Mike + Lauren

This Chicago Rooftop Wedding was absolutely stunning, AND believe it or not this wedding was Mike and Lauren’s PLAN B. Mike and Lauren were just so full of love and had the most supportive and loving humans surrounding them for their wedding day. You’re not ready for the beauty that was this wedding.

Getting Ready + Details

Lauren spent her morning getting her hair and makeup done, then putting on the finishing touches with her mom and sister. The rest of the girls were ready and eagerly awaiting Lauren’s big reveal of her wedding look!

Michael spent the morning at the house he and Lauren were to get married in later that day. Michael and his groomsmen took their time getting ready with one another throughout the house before the ceremony started later that afternoon.

The Ceremony

Believe it or not, this day originally had been calling for rain ALL WEEK. With the wedding being on a rooftop in Chicago I was constantly checking the weather over and over again. Somehow, between the cumulative prayers and good vibes being sent up to the sky Michael and Lauren had a GORGEOUS wedding day without an ounce of rain in the sky.

They were joined by their closest friends and family on a Chicago rooftop deck for their wedding day. It was seriously nothing like I’ve ever seen. Rooted in their faith, Michael and Lauren became one in marriage that morning and there was not a dry eye in the place.

Wedding Portraits

Getting married a little over a block away from Lincoln Park we knew we had to take advantage of the city that these two spent so much of their love story in. We walked around the city a bit before heading back up to the rooftop to grab a few portraits in front of the skyline.

Reception

Their friends and family worked together to set up a BEAUTIFUL reception area with the city skyline in the background. Between the centerpieces, tablescapes, food, and everything else the two couldn’t have asked for a better set up. Lauren and Michaels’ humans were seriously next level. They were all so loving and caring. They had so many stories to share and just showered the newlyweds in joy and happiness! Not to mention their Chicago Rooftop view at night was seriously next level.
