Kelly and Katie’s wedding at their favorite restaurant in Chicago, Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba, was everything they could hope for on their intimate day.  I’ve photographed Kelly and Katie once a year for almost 5 years now, so this day meant SO much to capture.  They were my first clients when I started my business 4 years ago, and they are some of my husband Tanner and I’s closest friends.  

A First Look and Portraits in Chicago

Kelly and Katie wanted to see each other so badly on their wedding day after getting ready separately, so we stepped outside the restaurant and had their first look on the streets of Chicago.  The first look was such a special moment for these two and you could really feel the joy emanating from them. When the three of us took portraits for their first anniversary years ago, we spent our time walking through the neighborhoods of Lakeview Chicago. It only fits then that we do the same thing to celebrate their wedding day. They had a blast walking around the streets of Chicago in their wedding attire, loving on one another before celebrating their wedding with their friends and family.

For their intimate wedding ceremony and reception Kelly and Katie rented out the private space at Cafe Ba-Ba-Reeba which provided a warm and moody atmosphere. They really couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant in Chicago to celebrate their wedding day at! After their ceremony which was conducted by one of the two’s best friends, the two filled the evening with great food, wonderful speeches, and meaningful conversations with those they care about most. Talk about a perfect intimate wedding day!
