Nikki’s Wheaton senior photo session was one of my first portrait sessions with someone who wasn’t a friend or family. I am so grateful for her trust in capturing her senior photos. We started off Nikki’s senior session at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Wheaton.
Nikki spent many summer days hanging out with her friends in their hammocks and walking the trails by the lake. Blackwell Forest Preserve is an awesome location for senior photos because of how much space there is at the location. You’re able to walk around Blackwell and have your session without having to worry about people getting in the background of your photos. There is SO much to see throughout the forest preserve, it is perfect for any senior session.
We decided to have Nikki’s senior session in the morning to avoid the heat of the summer.
For senior photos in Wheaton, because a lot of the locations look the same, I LOVE when seniors bring along something that is important to them to their senior session. It is so much fun to incorporate interesting things about them into their session and make their session super unique to them. For Nikki’s Wheaton senior photos we incorporated her love for the outdoors as well as her future university. Nikki rocked her college t-shirt while roller-skating around Blackwell and then we took out her hammock for the second part of the session.
Along with her time spent at Blackwell, Nikki LOVES her car. She spent so many nights driving around Wheaton with her friends listening to music and meeting up at their favorite spots. Along with her car, Nikki’s family recently added the cutest pup to their family. In order to take photos with her pup in a safe and relaxed way, we took photos at her home.
