I know I always say my seniors are the coolest, but the senior session Carlin and I put together at Blackwell Forest Preserve was honestly one of my favorites of all time. Carlin was a TROOPER for her sunrise senior session. We woke up at the crack of dawn on a fairly warm summer morning and met at the boat launch at Blackwell Forest Preserve. Because it was a little on the chillier side Carlin opted to wear a more casual look to start off her session so she could be nice and cozy along the lake.
Blackwell Forest Preserve
Blackwell Forest Preserve is an awesome location for senior sessions. Between the water in the mornings, the soft glow over the tall grasses from sunrise and sunset along with the overall terrain of the forest preserve, there is PLENTY of space to explore for photos.
Wheaton Warrenville South
After taking sunrise photos at Blackwell we headed over to Wheaton Warrenville South High School to take some photos on the football field. Though Carlin wasn’t concerned about this at all, I love heading to high schools early in the morning to avoid crowds and the school ran practices. It gives seniors a little more privacy and gives us plenty of flexibility when it comes to taking photos.
Carlin ran track and field in high school so we made sure to show off some of her gear along with her favorite school hoodie.
Wheaton College/ Downtown Wheaton
Last but not least, to end our morning session we headed to Down Town Wheaton to finish our senior session. Starting at Wheaton college, we wandered around the campus and took some photos at the museum on campus. Following the campus, we finished Carlin’s session at some of Downtown Wheaton’s most iconic spots for photos, the blue door, and the top of the parking garage.
