Downtown Geneva Senior Session | Hailey Class of 2020

I have known Hailey for a LONG time, so to be able to be a part of her graduation celebrations was so exciting and such an honor! Living in St. Charles, Hailey spent a lot of her free time in high school in downtown Geneva. She also spent a lot of time at her home in St. Charles. Because she spent much of her time in these places, it only made sense to have her senior session at both of these spots. For her senior session, we wandered around downtown Geneva and then went back to her home to take some photos with her pup.

Senior Sessions in Downtown Geneva

For senior sessions in Downtown Geneva, it’s helpful to plan your session on a weekday. With weekday sessions you can avoid crowds and events that often take place in the adorable town. For the session, we met over by the Little Traveler, there is often quite a bit of parking over there, perfect for meeting up. We walked around the main streets and some of the side streets where the trees hang over the roads. I love these parts of town for their old houses, and tall trees that frame the streets.

What to Wear

For her outfits, Hailey opted for a simple pale blue dress and the cutest pair of sneakers. I love how simple the accessories were that Hailey chose for her senior session in downtown Geneva. The classic look made for perfect photos highlighting Hailey’s personality and beauty.

After we did a lap around downtown Geneva Hailey popped on her cap and gown. We went on top of a of a parking lot to have some fun amongst the clouds. I LOVE how the blue of the sky went so well with her dress and gown. She seriously turned into a blue dream.

Locations

For all senior sessions, I love to mix in some contrast to the session if possible. For Hailey’s session, downtown Geneva had a sort of hometown vibe, we ran around in the streets and some of the sidewalks. After that, we went on top of a parking garage for some photos of her in her cap and gown. The parking garage gave her photos a more neutral urban feel. I love incorporating blank slate locations like this for senior sessions.

After that, we headed back to her house to take some photos around her home and with her pup Henry. If you plan to include a pet in your senior session, it is recommended that we have that part of your session in a space that your pet is familiar with. Whether it be a park you frequent or your home, both help to keep your pup calm and make that portion of your session easier.
