Ever thought about having a graduation mini session just to celebrate graduating? That’s exactly what Maggie and Ailish had following their graduation! Every spring I reserve a couple of afternoons for my graduating seniors to have a grad mini session! At their mini session graduating seniors take pictures in their caps and gowns, their college tees, with their besties and so much more! Here is one of my favorite grad mini-sessions with some of my favorite people Maggie and Ailish!
Why Should You Have a Graduation Mini Session?
Graduation mini sessions are sessions I offer to my graduating seniors who are looking to have a couple of photos taken with caps and gowns. Often times they will also bring along their family or friends to incorporate in their session as well.
I offer grad mini sessions on a first come first serve basis. They are offered to my seniors who have worked with me in the past first. Then I open them up to the general public to book. They are some of my favorite sessions to have because seniors are always SO excited to celebrate!
Depending on the year, graduation mini-sessions happen at popular forest preserves such as St. James Forest Farm or other popular spots around Wheaton.
Maggie and Ailish’s Session
Because they graduated in 2020 we opted to have their graduation mini session outside their home. At the time forest preserves were limited in availability and for our safety, we felt this was the easiest route to go. Maggie and Ailish rocked some t-shirts from the colleges they planned to go to with the CUTEST denim and khaki skirts.
We ran around on their street which is absolutely gorgeous and covered with tall trees and had some fun in their front yard taking photos together.
After that, the two of them decided to take some photos in their prom dresses to celebrate their senior year! They both had GORGEOUS navy blue dresses that were so much fun to take photos with.
